Ubisoft was about to launch the third installment of its wildly popular Assassin’s Creed franchise. But they wanted to come out into world boldly. They needed something that would take its marketing to the next level. Enter, GERTRUDE.

OUTCOME


Designed to highlight the game’s visceral avatar-style gameplay in a centuries-old battle for peace, the print concept captured the spirit of the game while teasing new scenes from the upcoming game. The launch was, to put it mildly, a success. The game sold over 12M copies worldwide—an almost 70% increase over the previous installment.
